Ruspini House is a small, friendly, caring community within the larger RMS family, guided by the same ethos. We understand that every child is unique and offer an individualised education to reflect this. Our curriculum draws inspiration from Montessori, Reggio Emilia and Forest School, and incorporates the latest research in child psychology and neuro-development. We are committed to learning through play, helping children to develop critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills.
Learning doesn’t just take place in the classroom. We offer a wide range of co-curricular activities to ensure our children have broad horizons and happy minds.
Outdoor learning is a crucial part of an RMS pupil's wellbeing and development. In our spacious and inviting outdoor spaces, children explore, discover new passions and learn to take risks. Pupils participate in RMS Go, led by our experienced Forest School leader; they explore the wider campus and all it has to offer.
Cadogan House is the home of the RMS Prep for girls aged 4 to 11 years. Recognised as excellent in all areas, Cadogan House is a warm and vibrant community alive with the buzz of happy, enthusiastic, and motivated young learners, each of whom is valued as an individual.
The learning opportunities are exceptionally broad with outstanding teaching from both subject specialists and class teachers. Small class sizes ensure that teachers quickly get to know the pupils and focus on nurturing their individual talents and strengths to enable them to become well-rounded independent young people. In Pre-Prep, Reception to Year 2, English and Maths are taught each day as individual subject areas, while Science and Humanities are covered through cross-curricular work. In Years 3 to 6, girls study English, Mathematics, Science, Art, DT, French, Geography, History, Computing, Music, PE, PSHCE and Religious Studies, with several subjects taught by subject specialists.
Our wide and varied curriculum encourages excellence and empowers girls to reach their full potential. An array of themed days, visiting speakers and trips all help to bring classroom learning to life.
An abundance of opportunities exist for pupils beyond the classroom. From music, sports, drama, and the creative arts, there is space for every girl to hone their talents, develop new skills and to have plenty of fun with friends along the way. Being part of a through school gives us access to facilities that most prep schools could only dream of. We seek to foster a natural curiosity, enthusiasm and love of learning in every girl.
Year 6 pupils transfer seamlessly onto RMS Senior School, where they are guaranteed a place in Year 7.
