Our Vision
We teach the future, nurture ambition, grow potential, and change the world, one pupil at a time.
We are Winchester House.
About
Winchester House School is a place of exploration, where curious minds are encouraged to ask questions, take risks and discover passions that open up the future with fun, opportunity and excitement.
Our Nursery to Year 4 Creative Curriculum, based around engaging term-long topics, develops excited and thoughtful young learners who are ready to take on the responsibility of independent and collaborative study, paving the way for specialist teaching in Years 5 to 8 as they prepare for Common Entrance.
Small classes, a passionate teaching team, and subject specialists from an early age create strong academic foundations for success. With excellent results and pupils achieving scholarships to leading Senior Schools each year, Winchester House is preparing Change Makers for a rapidly evolving world – developing critical thinkers, problem-solvers, leaders and pioneers.
Our inspiring co-curricular programme encourages discovery, growth and challenge, helping pupils uncover new talents and broaden horizons.
Here, academic achievement is celebrated, but so too is success in Sport, Drama, and Music, alongside values like kindness, curiosity and responsibility. Winchester House pupils have a global outlook, guided by our motto, ‘not for ourselves alone’.
Nestled in the heart of Brackley, we’re a town school with a countryside feel, featuring extensive playing fields, a sports hall, squash and tennis courts, an outdoor pool, inside–outside learning areas and a Secret Garden for outdoor education.
Pupils return home (or to boarding) each day excited, nurtured, well fed, and often victorious from sporting success – and usually a little muddy!
Winchester House is a member of The Stowe Group, and pupils benefit from the teaching, music and sporting facilities at Stowe throughout the year.
Charitable status. Winchester House is part of Stowe School which is a registered charity.
