The QEH Junior School was opened in September 2007 and is located in gracious Georgian town houses in Upper Berkeley Place backing onto the Senior School, which means it can share its first-class facilities including science, drama, music and sport. The cultural facilities of the city, such as the city museum and art gallery, are also on its doorstep.
Pupils travel to the school from across the region and there is a hub for public transport on the nearby Clifton Triangle. The school also offers timed parking facilities for parents in the adjacent NCP West End multi-storey car park, to pick up and drop off pupils, at no extra cost.
As the only boys’ junior school in the city, QEH Juniors is unique in Bristol. Being small, it focuses on the individual, fostering a love of learning while nurturing the interests and talents of each boy. In addition, there is a wealth of extracurricular activities available.
QEH Juniors is the region’s only Values-based Education accredited school, offering an exceptional education rooted in strong values, outstanding pastoral care, and a nurturing academic environment that fosters kindness, confidence, and resilience.
Boys can enter in Year 3 or Year 5, though places occasionally become available in other Years. Boys are expected to move into the Senior School at 11. (See QEH entry in HMC section.) Charitable status. Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital is a Registered Charity, number 1104871, and a Company Limited by Guarantee, number 5164477.
