Bournemouth Collegiate School offers the very best in independent co-education for ages 3–18 with boarding from age 11. Our Senior School is situated in a beautiful coastal location just a few minutes from Bournemouth beach and our Preparatory School is located in a spacious woodland setting in Lower Parkstone, Poole.
BCS provide a holistic teaching experience to all pupils, understanding that academic success is not the only principal factor in a child’s education. Our mission is to equip our students with the tools and experiences for a successful and enriching future; helping them to realise their full potential for personal and academic excellence.
BCS provides a nurturing environment where the happiness of our pupils comes first. Our ‘added value’ extends to our variety of co-curricular opportunities and sporting and music programmes, that allow our pupils to cultivate new skills and develop into well-balanced, confident and versatile young people. BCS runs a successful Sports Academy for talented athletes that utilises our outstanding facilities across both sites, including indoor swimming pools at both schools.
We encourage independent learning and intellectual curiosity by providing pupils with a wide range of experiences including trips, seminars, talks by guest speakers and the opportunity for fun, expression and friendship in the many school events on offer. Our aim is to inspire each pupil to make the most of their talents. This way the pupils at BCS, of any age, grow in self-esteem, develop resilience, have a sense of adventure and are equipped to flourish as young adults.
