At Seaton House, we’re proud to give every child an outstanding start to their educational journey. Our girls consistently achieve excellent academic results, with many securing scholarships at leading independent schools.
Many girls are also offered grammar school places, due to our thorough and high-quality 11+ preparation which leads to an exceptional success rate year after year.
We are continuously recognised for our excellence and are currently ranked No. 2 in The Sunday Times Top 100 Prep Schools list.
With small class sizes, from Nursery to Year 6, we ensure every pupil is known, valued, and supported to reach their full potential. Alongside a strong academic foundation, our girls thrive in the arts, music, drama, and sport. Specialist teachers lead subjects thus providing a high-quality education across the curriculum. Pupils also take part in a wide range of events, including a range of music, poetry and sports competitions, musical performances, drama productions, and regular fixtures with local schools.
Our rich co-curricular programme offers something for everyone, with lunchtime and after-school clubs such as gymnastics, chess, coding, ballet, taekwondo, and art.
Learning extends beyond the classroom with educational visits, workshops, and termly day trips that bring topics to life. From Key Stage Two, girls also enjoy annual residential trips filled with outdoor adventures that help build teamwork, leadership and resilience.
Pastoral care is central to school life. Every member of staff is committed to supporting the personal growth of each child, and our recent Wellbeing Award for Schools reflects this commitment. Trained emotional support staff are available to ensure the wellbeing of pupils each day. Kindness, good manners and mutual respect are embedded in our school culture, and pupils are encouraged to be confident, independent and community-minded. Our vibrant house system helps foster a strong sense of belonging and teamwork.
By the time they leave us at the end of Year 6, our girls are confident, curious, creative individuals, ready for the next stage of their education – with treasured memories and friendships that last a lifetime.
We warmly invite you to visit us and discover what makes Seaton House such a special place.
