St Neot’s, founded in 1888, is a happy, vibrant community for boys and girls from 2 to 13 years. The school is situated on the border of Hampshire and Berkshire and is set in 70 acres of beautiful grounds and woodland.
The school’s educational philosophy is to inspire children to develop a love of learning in a supportive and happy environment, where each individual is encouraged to achieve their full academic potential and beyond. Children are motivated to discover their full range of talents and to develop the passion to pursue them. They are given the opportunity to embrace challenge, think creatively, develop self-confidence and foster empathy towards others, preparing them both intellectually and emotionally for success in the 21st Century.
We aim to provide the highest standards in teaching and learning, within a well rounded educational experience and St Neot’s has a very strong record of success in achieving Scholarships and Awards to numerous Senior Schools.
St Neot’s is committed to shaping brighter futures. Stimulating learning environments ensure that engaged pupils work towards the highest academic standards, whilst also enjoying a breadth of experience in sport, music, art, drama and dance.
Emphasis is placed on developing independence, self-confidence, curiosity and collaboration. Forest School and Outdoor Education programmes encourage children of all ages to develop these attributes, which are so vital in the modern world. The St Neot’s journey culminates in the Years 7 and 8 leadership programme, which draws together a mix of skills through the Pre Senior Schools Baccalaureate (PSB).
Sport is a strength of the school and our state-of-the-art sports complex, comprising sports hall, 25m indoor swimming pool, all-weather astro, cricket nets, hard tennis and netball courts, significantly supplement the extensive playing fields. There is also an on-site mountain bike track and a traversing wall. Judo, dance and tennis are taught by specialist coaches and there are many after-school clubs and activities covering a wide range of interests. Holiday Clubs run in all school breaks and offer a wealth of opportunities, both sporting and creative.
St Neot’s holds a Gold Artsmark award, giving recognition to our achievements in art, music, drama and dance. A number of plays, concerts and recitals take place throughout the school year for all age groups, either in the school grounds or in the Performing Arts Centre.
Open Mornings take place termly and details of these can be found on the school website: www.stneotsprep.co.uk. We would also be delighted to arrange an individual tour and a meeting with the Head.
