St Helen’s College has been described by inspectors as a ‘Haven of Harmony’ and received ‘outstanding/excellent’ in its most recent ISI inspection. It is a happy, ambitious school, based on three enduring values: Excellence, Harmony and Growth.
The aims of St Helen’s College are to develop as fully as possible each child’s academic potential, to provide a wide, balanced, stimulating and challenging curriculum, and to foster true values and good character based on core shared values and moral principles. The children enjoy a purposeful and happy ‘family’ atmosphere and are taught by committed, professional, specialist teachers.
Children are prepared for independent senior schools and local grammar schools, and records of success are consistently outstanding. In addition to the academic subjects, sport, music and drama play an important part in the children's lives.
An extraordinarily wide range of extra-curricular activities is offered and pupils enjoy outings, day and residential, to many places of interest. There is a breakfast club, after-school club and summer school, and a holiday club which runs throughout the year. The school Nursery, for children aged 2+ is open year-round from 8.00 - 6.00 p.m. Monday – Friday offering families full flexibility.
Individual tours for prospective parents are run during term time and on regular Open Mornings. Please telephone 01895 234371 or contact admissions@sthelenscollege.com to make an appointment.
