The School welcomes children in Nursery, Reception and Year 3 as main entry points, with scholarships from Year 3. Admissions at other stages are also possible, subject to availability. While we genuinely believe in educating the 'whole' child, our primary focus is providing an excellent academic foundation while nurturing a love for learning at an early age, Our results speak for themselves, with a significant number of pupils gaining places at academically selective schools at 11+, often with scholarships and awards for academic performance as well as for sport, music and art. Our outstanding 11+ results are achieved with a balanced, stress-free approach, reflecting our focus on the all-round learning journey.
Ripley Court School is renowned for its outstanding pastoral care and providing a warm and nurturing environment; children are encouraged to be themselves and grow into individuals able to explore their potential. The broad and balanced curriculum, with subject specialist teaching, weekly enrichment programme and a wealth of extracurricular activities, inspires children to reach their full potential and creates opportunities for independent learning, creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
In addition to the academic subjects, PE, Music, Art and Food Technology are a part of every child’s timetable. Forest School sessions are also taught on site from Nursery to Year 6. There are opportunities for all in orchestral, choral and dramatic productions – the school prides itself on ensuring every child can participate in all areas, including in competitive sports fixtures. The varied and enhanced curriculum, underpinned by our values of perseverance, aspiration, curiosity and kindness, further equips each individual to reach their full potential.
Facilities include a library, science laboratories, a gymnasium, computer suite, art, music and food tech rooms. There are banks of iPads to support learning. There are 19 acres of playing fields, on which Football (Association and Rugby), Hockey, Netball, Cricket, Tennis (2 hard, 2 grass courts), Athletics and Rounders are played in season. Swimming and Life Saving are taught in a large, covered, heated swimming pool.
Our bright, airy nursery is an integral part of the wider school, where children thrive in a warm, nurturing environment. With specialist teachers in French, Swimming, Dance, Music, and Forest School, children flourish.
