Alleyn's Oakfield is an academically selective, co-educational school which has proudly joined the Alleyn’s family, ensuring all new pupils have an assured place to Alleyn’s Senior School. We encourage every child to ‘find their thing’, through music, sports and drama or our excellent cocurricular programme that allows pupils to develop their individual strengths outside of the classroom. We see each child as an individual with their own path, and our dedicated staff team and specialist teachers nurture each pupil to reach their highest potential.
Leadership opportunities are an important part of pupil development. Each term, Year 6 pupils are elected as House Captains, Vice-Captains and Head Pupils, giving them the chance to take on responsibility and represent their peers. Children also have the opportunity to be elected to the School Council and Eco Council. Alongside this, the school’s pastoral care means that children are supported all the way from Reception to Year 6, with a culture that fosters a strong sense of belonging.
Oakfield has a wonderful history anchored in both education and the arts. Our school building was the original Young Vic Theatre School, meaning generations of pupils have found their voice within our school and gone on to excellent achievements. While proud of our history, we strive to remain at the forefront of education, combining a broad curriculum with many opportunities outside the classroom including workshops, visiting speakers and trips.
