Overview: Mill Hill International is a co-educational boarding and day school for international pupils aged 13–17. The ground is a short walk from Mill Hill School, which sits in 120 acres of magnificent parkland on the edge of the North London Green Belt and just 10 miles from Central London, providing a wonderful environment in which to learn. Mill Hill International forms a part of the Mill Hill Education Group, a charitable collection of independent schools. Day, weekly and full boarding places are available for entry at Year 9, Year 10 and Year 11. Pupils from all over the world come together in an inspiring school to gain internationally recognised qualifications and a transformational educational and cultural experience.
At Mill Hill International your child will develop habits of mind that will equip them for their educational journey in the UK and prepare them to face the challenges of life in the 21st century with confidence, resilience and creativity. Pupils are guided to seek courage and curiosity within themselves and apply them in all their endeavours. A traditional British educational experience is offered as well as an academic curriculum up to GCSE/IGCSE and specialist EAL teaching. Pupils for whom English is not their first language receive English language tuition while at the same time studying an appropriate range of other subjects in order to equip them for further study, whether at Mill Hill School or elsewhere. Suitable also for British pupils returning to the UK after a period abroad, Mill Hill International offers a Year 9 course to help pupils prepare for GCSE, an intensive one-year GCSE course for pupils entering Year 11 and a two-year GCSE programme in Year 10 where students will study between 8 and 12 subjects. In addition, there is a Spring and Summer School which offer courses to ages 12–17, combining English learning with academic subjects, including mathematics and science or sport. These core elements are complemented by a varied programme of creative activity classes including music, dance, drama and art.
The teaching is rigorous, challenging and exciting and has high expectations of every pupil. Class sizes are small and all teachers are qualified or trained in teaching English as an additional language so every pupil can progress quickly. In addition to the impressive resources of the Mill Hill International campus, pupils also have access to Mill Hill School’s sports facilities, including the indoor heated swimming pool, sports hall, theatre and music school situated within over 120 acres of grounds. Pupils are fully integrated with those from Mill Hill School throughout their time and share boarding houses.
Charitable status. Mill Hill Education Group is the brand name for The Mill Hill School Foundation, a Registered Charity, number 1064758.
