Excellence in Education inspiring Kindness, Confidence & Creativity
Moorfield School is situated in a beautiful setting on the edge of Ilkley Moor. It prides itself in providing inspirational teaching within a giving and caring school.
Independence and individuality are encouraged and confidence nurtured. The whole child is important and we work together to grow hearts, minds and strength of character.
Our child-led approach to teaching and learning from ages 2 to 6 is unique and results show that children at the end of Reception (90%) are way above the national average (67%) across the curriculum.
Further up the school, high standards in English and Maths are the bedrock of academic success enabling all our pupils to get into their secondary school of choice. Outstanding teaching from a vibrant staff gives pupils confidence to succeed in all subjects. With specialist teaching in many subjects, pupils are given the opportunity to develop skills and interests in Computer Science, Drama, Music and Sport, Art, Cookery and Bushcraft.
Support for working parents is provided by offering wraparound care in term time from 7.45 am to 6.15 pm and throughout school holidays from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm.
Pupils leave Moorfield with a secure foundation in learning, a strong work ethic and the confidence to be successful.
