Making their way snce 1918: our approach. At Maltman’s Green, we champion every girl as she makes her way with purpose, pride and joy. Through an exceptional academic curriculum and extensive opportunities beyond the classroom, our girls are inspired to do their best, discover their strengths and develop a genuine love of learning. We prepare them for a fast-changing world through a relevant, adaptable and innovative approach, built on the traditional values that have shaped the school for more than a century.
Every girl is encouraged to explore, question and succeed across multiple disciplines. By giving them the space to try, the guidance to grow and the reassurance that they are capable, we foster confidence and self-belief. Our aim is to empower them for whatever future awaits.
Making their way with care. At the heart of Maltman’s Green is an unwavering belief that emotional, social and physical wellbeing must always come first. Through personalised learning and a nurturing environment, we ensure each girl feels happy, confident and valued. It is a foundation that allows children to flourish and it is one that has been recognised by the ISI in our most recent 2025 inspection, who applauded our outstanding pastoral care.
Making their way through games and the arts. Our sports provision is a standout feature of the school. With dedicated facilities and daily lessons, every girl has the chance to enjoy an active lifestyle and take part in friendly tournaments within the school community. Those with the passion and talent can progress to squad level and compete locally, regionally or nationally, often with exceptional results.
Music is woven into everyday life at Maltman’s. Specialist teaching, excellent facilities and a wealth of choice allow girls to explore and showcase their musical interests. Many join our choirs or take up individual instrumental lessons, with ensemble groups offering further opportunities to perform. Drama too plays a vibrant role in school life, with regular workshops and productions helping girls build confidence and creative expression. Performances take place in our dedicated theatre space, complete with professional staging, lighting, costumes and props.
Making their way to remarkable achievements. We encourage girls to think independently, to challenge themselves and to always try their best. Maltman’s Green provides a firm foundation that prepares them for senior school and beyond with confidence, determination and a lifelong love of learning. This commitment is reflected in our consistently impressive 11+ results and the significant number of scholarships awarded to leading Independent Senior Schools each year. Combined with outstanding achievements across sport, music and drama, it is clear why Maltman’s Green is recognised as one of the foremost all-girls prep schools in the country.
Making our way forward. Since opening our doors in 1918, we have continually refined our learning environment to offer the very best for our girls. Our campus now includes dedicated subject classrooms, a 6-lane, 25-metre swimming pool, a Science Lab, STEAM lab, IT hub, Art hub, Music hub, a multi-use gymnasium, a state-of-the-art theatre and a dedicated day-care centre for 2–3 year olds. We place great importance on outdoor learning, with an extensive Woodland School, a Wellbeing garden and landscaped grounds that create a peaceful and nurturing setting. This outstanding suite of facilities, combined with a highly committed and experienced team of staff, allows us to provide an exceptional and truly unique breadth of opportunities for every girl who begins her journey here.
