Organisation. Pupils aged 4 to 11 (Years R to 6) are taught in the Infant & Junior School, in separate classes each with a class teacher. Houses are used for sports and other competitions. Junior School pupils may board from Year 3 (age 7) and join a mixed House (Kew House), which is an integral part of the Junior School buildings.
Senior School pupils, aged 11 to 18 (Years 7 to 13), are placed in tutor groups and a school House, with a tutor who monitors their pastoral care and oversees their academic performance. Students are taught in ability groups with a maximum class size of 20. Boarders are accommodated in four separate boarding Houses, each supervised by Housemasters/mistresses: Kew (junior house) is mixed for pupils from Year 3 to Year 7; Osborne (girls’ house) for pupils from Year 8 to Year 11; Hampton (boys’ house) for pupils from Year 8 to Year 11; Blenheim (mixed sixth form house) for pupils in Years 12 and 13.
Location. LVS Ascot is north of the A329, close to Ascot Racecourse and Royal Windsor. The school is easily accessible from the M3, M4 and M25 motorways as well as Heathrow and Gatwick airports. The school bus service connects with trains at Ascot Station, as well many surrounding towns within a 20 miles radius including locations in West London.
Facilities. LVS Ascot is a modern day and boarding school in the UK. The purpose-built facilities, set in 25 acres of landscaped grounds, include: boarding accommodation and classroom blocks, a sports centre, all-weather pitch, indoor swimming pool, fully-equipped 250-seat theatre and a music technology suite. LVS Ascot hosts over five-hundred networked computer workstations, with every classroom equipped with ICT resources for digital and interactive learning. Science is taught as separate subjects.
