Hulme Hall Grammar School is a non-selective school with an excellent reputation for providing a friendly, warm and positive atmosphere in which all pupils thrive and succeed. Its small class sizes, high quality teaching and superb enrichment programmes ensure that it provides the best possible educational journey for every pupil.
Situated in a beautiful conservation area in Stockport, Hulme Hall is split into two schools – the Pre-School and Senior School.
The Pre-School (2–4 years) builds relationships with families and has one shared goal: to create a place of awe and wonder where children can explore, create and grow. The setting has both indoor and outdoor learning environments where children are encouraged to become curious, confident and happy learners.
The Senior School (11–16 years) aims to provide every pupil with a challenging, dynamic and relevant education that enables them to attain their academic and personal potential and to prepare them fully and effectively for the next stage of their educational journey.
It delivers a curriculum covering a wide range of academic, creative and practical subjects. An extensive choice of GCSE and other external examinations enables pupils at KS4 to choose learning programmes tailored to the individual. This allows them to fulfil, if not exceed, expectations and achieve academic success.
Achievement out of the classroom is important too. Hulme Hall offers a wide and varied co-curricular programme including opportunities for trips abroad and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme.
There are numerous clubs available at lunchtime and after school and termly enrichment days that take the children outside the classroom.
Caring for the individual has always been at the heart of Hulme Hall’s philosophy and an outstanding pastoral provision ensures that each child can thrive within the school and wider community. Pupils are nurtured through a vital phase in their growth and development focusing on all aspects of education – academic, personal, social and moral – to create confident and respectful individuals. All of Hulme Hall's pupils will continue their education at local colleges studying A Levels and other equivalent courses or an apprenticeship.
Charitable status. Hulme Hall Educational Trust is a Registered Charity, number 525931. The school aims to promote the personal, moral, social and academic development of all pupils.
