Embley’s Prep School provides an education with character that uncovers and nurtures each child’s niche and inspires ambition and academic achievement. Children are encouraged to be independent and push themselves to find out more, giving a real sense of purpose to their learning adventures.
Specialist subject staff work across every year group to give children the very best learning experiences. Academic opportunities are combined with a diverse co-curricular programme including performing arts, drama and music alongside sports such as sailing, skiing, golf and tennis. Many varied initiatives and activities, such as the Prep School Stock Market Investment Club and Natural Sciences, provide a variety of complex, multi-layered, problem-solving experiences and develop articulate, reasoned and informed children with analytical minds.
The school is nestled in 130 acres of private parkland, which includes woodlands, playing fields, tennis courts, AstroTurf pitches, a swimming pool and a golf course. It also runs a comprehensive sailing programme with its own boats moored at Lymington.
Embley’s Nursery operates for 48 weeks of the year, offering an exciting introduction to learning to ensure that each child will love going to school. From the early years, children are encouraged to be resilient in their approach and take responsibility for their learning adventures. They leave the Nursery with a calm confidence and independence: the perfect learning foundation.
At the end of Year 6, children progress to Embley’s Senior School which is within the same campus.
