Farringtons School is situated in 25 acres of green belt land in Chislehurst, which provide attractive surroundings while still being within easy reach of London (25 minutes to Charing Cross), the south coast and Gatwick airport (45 minutes), and Heathrow airport via the M25 (1 1/4 hours).
The School is committed to providing a first-class education for pupils of all ages in a caring community which supports all its members and helps each pupil to achieve his or her full potential both academically and personally. After-school care is available until 6.30 pm.
The School offers an enhanced National Curriculum, with a wide range of GCSE and A level subjects available. Nearly 100% of Sixth Form leavers customarily go on to degree courses at Universities or Higher Education Colleges. Academic standards are high from a comprehensive intake of pupils and in 2023 a 98% pass rate was achieved at A level.
The excellent facilities include a Technology building, a large Sports Hall with Dance Studio and Fitness Suite, splendidly equipped Science and Modern Language departments, a well-stocked library, Careers Room, indoor heated swimming pool and extensive playing fields, as well as a School Chapel, where the School regularly comes together.
The main sports are netball, tennis, football, swimming and athletics, but badminton, volleyball and table tennis are also undertaken and other extracurricular activities available include The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme, various choirs and instrumental ensembles, gymnastics, dance, ballet, drama club, fencing, etc.
The School also offers an exciting Floreat Programme, where pupils have the opportunity to experience new activities such as archery, scuba diving and bee-keeping during the school day.
Fees per term (2024–2025). Day: £4,280 (Pre-Reception, full time), £5,280 (Prep), £6,650 (Senior); Weekly Boarding: £11,280; Full Boarding: £14,160.
