Small school, big ambitions and high achievements! Durlston School is known for its family feel. Durlston is a place of trust, an environment where everyone can have a go, without the fear of failure. We help each other to grow in confidence as we listen to each other and we share and celebrate our achievements.
Immersive experiences are at the heart of learning at Durlston. Pre-Prep children enjoy a vibrant and nurturing environment where they can experience their journey of discovery at their own pace. Children in Middle Prep explore new and exciting opportunities as they grow in independence and are encouraged to find what they love. Children in Upper Prep continue to grow with Durlston confidence as they are supported and challenged by our highly dedicated, specialist staff team.
In addition to the full programme of GCSEs, which within a small school we are able to adjust the subjects on offer depending on each cohort, our senior pupils take part in a three-year programme of Life Experiences at Durlston (LE@D). These enriching, timetabled sessions range from real life skills such as learning to change a car tyre and iron a shirt, to volunteering opportunities with local charities to engaging with visiting speakers. These opportunities are tailored, hands-on and extremely valuable.
At Durlston – our size is our strength!
Charitable status. Durlston Prep and Senior School is a Registered Charity, number 307325, which exists to provide quality education for children from 2–16 years.
