Cheam is a leading day and boarding school for children aged 3 to 13 years, set in 100 acres on the Berkshire/Hampshire border. We provide broad and extensive opportunities across academics, sport, drama, art, DT, music and outdoor learning. Our vibrant boarding provision is increasingly popular and provides families with flexible and weekly boarding, in a homely and caring environment.

Cheam has a long history of preparing children for many of the top senior schools in the UK, with children gaining an impressive range of scholarships year on year. Pupils are prepared for the major senior independent schools with Marlborough, Bradfield, St Edward’s Oxford, Radley, Eton, Wellington, Sherborne Girls’, Pangbourne, St Mary’s Calne, Harrow, St Mary’s Ascot and Downe House featuring frequently.
The School is situated halfway between Newbury and Basingstoke on the A339 and is within easy reach of the M3 and M4 motorways and the A34 trunk route from Portsmouth, Southampton and Winchester to Oxford and the Midlands. London Heathrow Airport is within an hour’s drive.
