Carrdus School is a co-educational day prep school for girls and boys aged 3–11 years, nestled within 11 acres of beautiful grounds, located on the outskirts of Banbury, Oxfordshire and bordering nearby Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire and Warwickshire. The Carrdus Pathway is a holistic approach to learning, forming strong relationships, instilling confidence and nurturing each child as they make their way through the school; ensuring they achieve their full potential and setting the foundations for academic success.
The teaching staff consists of highly qualified individuals, including the advantage of a plethora of specialist subject teachers in Music, Art, Drama, Science, Sport, French, Latin and Computing. The school has an excellent record of success in examinations, regularly sending pupils to well-known independent senior schools, with many achieving Academic Scholarships.
The on-site facilities are vast for this modest school and include a heated outdoor swimming pool which the children use on a weekly basis, two full-sized tennis courts, a purpose-built Art Studio, Science Lab, a multi-use Sports Hall and new Sports pitches. Music, Sport, Drama and Art are highly valued in the curriculum. There are regular sessions of Outdoor Learning and STEM where children can get really hands on and are encouraged to learn through doing. The girls and boys at Carrdus also have the advantage of daily use of Tudor Hall’s extensive Sports, Arts and Science facilities.
The aim of the school is to produce confident, independent and resilient children, who are happy and engaged in all that they do, and who have the satisfaction of reaching their own highest academic and personal standards.
Charitable status. Carrdus School is part of Tudor Hall School, which is a Registered Charity, number 1042783.
