Bickley Park School, founded in 1918, is a boys-only day school which occupies two spacious and attractive sites in Bickley, Bromley: the Prep Department at 24 Page Heath Lane and the Pre-Prep Department at 14 Page Heath Lane. The school has excellent facilities to complement the original Victorian buildings, including a five-acre sports field, state-of-the-art science labs, a large sports hall, swimming pool, Theatre and Art Studios.
The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) awarded Bickley Park a 'double excellent' standard, the highest possible grading for an Independent School, following an inspection in March 2023. The school also won Prep School of the Year at the end of 2021 for its 'well-articulated, coherent and holistic Four Quadrants of Learning programme'.
The Nursery Pre-Prep Department provide a first-class foundation before the children progress into Prep. The educational approach combines an inspiring academic and creative curriculum with passionate teaching, outstanding pastoral care and exciting outdoor learning programme.
In the Prep Department, the children are introduced to more specialist teaching and setting for Mathematics, English, Science, Spanish and French. The curriculum is built around Four Quadrants of Learning that espouse academic rigour alongside exceptional opportunities in the wider curriculum.
Most children leave at 13+ to attend some of the UK’s leading independent schools, whilst some leave at 11+, usually to join local Grammar Schools.
The school is very outward-looking and enjoys a vibrant community feel.
