The School is registered as an Educational Trust. It is purpose built and is situated in the centre of Wilmslow in its own spacious grounds. The facilities include an Assembly Hall, modern Sports Hall, a Science Room, refurbished dedicated Music Suite, Computer Room with networked Chromebooks, suites of iPads, classroom-based interactive TVs, a specialist Art Room with a kiln, well-stocked libraries and a Classroom Block with its own outdoor area for 3–5 year olds. There is a Tennis/Netball Court, a Sports field with its own stand-alone Sports Hall, outdoor long jump pit and all-weather pitch, and ample play areas including an outdoor woodland/forest classroom.
The School aims to provide extensive educational opportunities for all its pupils. Class sizes are intentionally small, enabling all staff to know pupils individually and to provide tailored, focussed teaching. It has a long-established excellent academic record and caters for a wide variety of entrance examinations to Independent Senior Day and Boarding Schools.
Wilmslow Preparatory School offers an engaging curriculum, designed to inspire young minds. Additionally over 40 extracurricular activities are offered, which include fencing, lacrosse, craft, coding, STEM as well as music, art and drama clubs. Principal sports include gymnastics, netball, football, cricket, hockey, tennis and athletics.
There are sixteen qualified and experienced teachers on the staff, as well as a highly knowledgeable and expert team of teaching support staff and management.
Charitable status. Wilmslow Preparatory School is a Registered Charity, number 525924. It exists to provide full-time education for pupils aged between 5 and 11, and part-time or full-time education to kindergarten children from the age of 3.
