Terry O’Neill and Finola Stack founded Finton House in 1987 as a charitable trust with two principles in mind: firstly, that children joining in Reception should not have to face the pressures of a competitive entry system, and secondly that of providing an inclusive educational environment where every child is able to shine.

Entrance. Non-selective – first come/first served.
Exit. Boys and Girls at 11 for London Day, Prep or Boarding.
Aims to provide a broad education, embracing technology and outdoor learning, encouraging children to live a healthy life in order to flourish in a rapidly changing world. Pastoral care is central to the ethos of the school, with the Finton Goals of self-belief, kindness, resilience, curiosity, respect, communication and morality at the heart of the child’s development. Academic subjects, music, art, computing, design and technology, languages and sports are all taught to a very high standard. High success rate in entrance exams to excellent 11+ senior schools, mainly London Day plus some boarding schools, with over a third of leavers winning scholarships and awards. Strong policy of inclusion with a percentage of children with special needs.
