“Let me keep an open mind so I understand as much as I can in my lifetime and not reach the limits of my imagination.”
Bedford Girls’ School is a dynamic, forward-thinking selective independent day school for girls aged 7–18. We value creativity, technology and innovation highly, as we prepare our students to make a difference to the world around them. From Year 3 to Sixth Form, it is our belief that learning should be exciting and lifelong, so that students leave us fully equipped academically, socially and emotionally with the desire to be the creative-thinkers, the change-makers and the problem-solvers of the future.
We are under pinned by the International Baccalaureate educational philosophy; we follow the inspiring IB Primary Year Programme in our Junior School (Years 3–6) and the IB Diploma Programme is offered as well as A Levels to Sixth Formers. Our educational ethos lies in equipping them with critical thinking skills and the attributes of the IB learner profile from the moment they join us, whether in the Junior or Senior Schools. As a result, we find that the natural curiosity of the girls is heightened and sharpened and they are extremely engaged with their own independent learning and development. Our girls excel academically; we are an outstanding sports school and have an excellent reputation for Music and the Creative Arts.
